Policy on Corporate Relationships

The Parkinson’s Foundation engages in diverse productive relationships with corporations, including those in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. These relationships offer financial support, in-kind contributions and opportunities to share information and insights to advance the mission of the organization.

We place the needs and well-earned trust of the community – people living with Parkinson’s, scientists, clinicians and individual donors – above all else and are committed to adhering to the highest standards of integrity and independence through the following guidelines.

The Parkinson’s Foundation will:
- Direct and determine all programs and activities for which the organization receives corporate support.
- Not promote and/or endorse potential or current therapies, products and/or services by virtue of corporate sponsorship.
- Not license its names, brands or logos to any sponsor without written approval by the Foundation.
- Disclose corporate financial support and its nature on our organizational website and in communications pertaining to sponsored activities.
- Recognize corporate funding, sponsorship and partnerships in a manner that is approved by the Foundation and consistent throughout the organization.

Above all, the Parkinson’s Foundation will always strive to avoid entering into any relationship with a corporation that would in any way suggest that its commitment to the community can be traded for financial support or other favors from corporate or other sponsors.
