For Researchers

Help us accelerate Parkinson's research that improves treatments and care.

Researchers testing vials in a lab

Our competitive awards and grants fund a diverse array of Parkinson's research. We fund researchers ranging from early career to established scientists, and from basic researchers to clinicians who treat patients daily. The Scientific Advisory Board, comprised of leading Parkinson's basic, clinical, and translational scientists, guides these programs. The Parkinson’s Foundation gratefully acknowledges the contribution of our grant reviewers, who help ensure that the research we support is of the highest integrity and greatest impact on the lives of people with Parkinson's disease (PD).

If you are a Parkinson's disease researcher, clinician or fellow, we encourage you to learn more about the application processes for the following Parkinson's Foundation programs. Parkinson's Foundation program applicants can apply online using ProposalCentral, our grant portal (to create your account and apply, click on Apply Now), during the specified periods (Award Deadlines). Some of the awards have been enabled through partnerships with other organizations and are often managed by those organizations. If applicable, you will be directed to their website. For more information, you can read details of each award below, browse our application FAQs or email Grants@Parkinson.org. To learn about our research initiatives other than grants and fellowships, please visit Our Research page.
