Alexander Baumgartner, MD, University of Colorado
I am a board-certified neurologist specializing in movement disorders, with a focus on deep brain stimulation (DBS). I earned my medical degree from Brown University and completed my internship and residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School, serving as chief resident. My fellowship in movement disorders was at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
I manage conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. My research centers on non-motor Parkinson's symptoms and their relationship with advanced therapies like DBS. I am a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society, and the Society for Neuroscience.
Meredith Roberts Lo, PT, DPT, Parkinson's Pointe
Dr. Meredith Roberts, PT, DPT, has been specializing in neurorehabilitation since 2005. Her passion for working with the Parkinson’s community began with a PWR! Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery class. Since then, Meredith has trained and worked alongside the top rehab professionals and movement disorder specialists in the country eventually founding her own practice.
Meredith now travels nationally and teaches other professionals how to take current research and translate it into their practice when working with people with Parkinson’s. Currently, she has founded the non'profit, Parkinson's Pointe, to support the Parkinson’s community through community connection, PD specific exercise and education in Denver, Colorado.
Gary Drescher and Barbara Leffler, PhD, RN
Gary is a Parkinson’s Foundation Ambassador who has lived with Parkinson’s Disease since 2017. He is a Vietnam veteran and retired community manager.
Dr. Leffler is a Parkinson’s Foundation Hospital Lead Ambassador and Care Partner to her husband, Gary. She is a retired Clinical Psychologist and Registered Nurse.
