Community Engagement Coordinator

Reports to: Senior Director, Community Engagement 
Position Status: 100% FTE, Non-Exempt  
Location: Remote

The role of Community Engagement Coordinator requires a dependable and self-motivated professional to provide support for nationalcommunity education programs including technical support, monitoring and responding to inquiries from the community and data collection.

Responsibilities 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Collaborate with other members of the community engagement team on projects and support internal program collaborations across departments including various working committees. 

  • Develop and manage annual communications calendar to promote the Foundation’s community engagement resources.  

  • Assist the community engagement team with the development and implementation of national community education programs including EP Salud en Casa, Promotores de Salud, PD Health @ Home, Veterans webinars and the Care Partner Summit as needed.  

  • Participate in all live Spanish webinars to provide Zoom technical support for speakers and participants, support Q & A, monitor the chat and serve as a back-up moderator as needed. 

  • Assist with the set-up and deployment of event registration pages, reminder emails, and post-event communication for national education programs (English & Spanish).  

  • Support survey and program evaluation efforts by collecting/recording data and helping to share results and metrics both internally and externally. 

  • Monitor and respond to email and phone calls regarding national education programs, assist with registration, respond to requests for recordings or other program related inquiries, and redirect as necessary. 

  • Customize and share promotional materials as needed for all national programs, work with Communications team to coordinate FB live or social media posts and support outreach activities for expanding and diversifying the viewing audience. 

  • Create monthly communications content highlighting resources and programs to be distributed to the Spanish-speaking PD community. 

  • Develop content for the Parkinson’s Foundation Spanish blog.   

  • Coordinate Spanish working and advisory group meetings and support the implementation of results. 

Experience/Skills Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in a related field. 

  • Bi-lingual Spanish required. 

  • Previous experience in a non-profit setting. 

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal skills are a must. 

  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency required, and strong social media skills helpful. 

  • Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and previous experience with webinar or online meeting platforms (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams) a plus. 

  • Must be detail oriented, resourceful, and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects with varied timelines.  

  • Self-motivated, positive, out-going, and able to relate well with diverse populations and age-groups is important for this role. 

  • Highly collaborative; ability to work independently and as part of a larger geographically dispersed team. 

  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required. 

  • Some travel for Foundation work, 3-4 times per year. 

Compensation: Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included. The salary range for this position is $47,000 to $52,000.
