Sample Curriculum

The PD SELF (Self-Efficacy Learning Forum) nine-module health management program gives people the power to manage their Parkinson’s disease (PD). This Parkinson’s Foundation program offers the motivation, information, skills, behaviors and philosophical construct to give people with PD improved quality of life.

We provide attendees with a PD SELF Curriculum Field Guide containing the course content for each of the nine modules.

Parkinson’s Content of Each Module

  • Diagnosis/Adjustment/Moving Forward
  • Assembling Your Health Care Team
  • Medications and Treatments
  • PT and Exercise
  • Non-motor Symptoms
  • Integrative Medicine
  • Neuroplasticity
  • Relationships/Intimacy/Care Partners
