How is PD Treated?

Currently there is no cure for Parkinson's disease, but medication and therapy is used to treat its symptoms.

This means there's no standard treatment for the disease – the treatment for each person with Parkinson's is based on his or her symptoms.

Treatments include medication and surgical therapy. Other treatments include lifestyle modifications like getting more rest and more exercise.

Click on the links on the left if you'd like to learn more about the different types of medications commonly prescribed, alternative therapies, and other surgical treatment options.
