Join us for Moving Day, a day that will move you and others to speak up about Parkinson's disease. It's more than just a fundraising walk. It's a day to change the state of awareness about a disease that affects so many of our family and friends. Moving Day is launching this fall in 3 locations: October 1 in Pittsburgh, PA; October 16 in Washington, D.C.; and October 22 in Rome, GA. Join a team or recruit your own today.

A review supported by NPF chronicles compelling evidence that if you are in more advanced stages of the disease, switching from branded drugs to generic, or from one generic to another, may have adverse effects. The authors, including NPF National Medical Director Dr. Michael S. Okun, believe that the standards for approving generic drugs for Parkinson's may not be strict enough to demonstrate that the generic alternatives are equally effective.

This month, take time to pay tribute to the grandparents in your life who courageously live with Parkinson's disease. Show your support by making a gift to the National Parkinson Foundation and we will send a card to your loved one acknowledging your gift.
