About the Blue ā€œPā€ Ribbon

The blue “P for Parkinson’s” ribbon featured in the National Parkinson Foundation logo is a universal symbol for Parkinson’s disease. The ribbon is blue to symbolize hope, and shaped like a “P” to stand for Parkinson’s disease. The “P” ribbon is intended to serve as a means of solidarity for everyone living with Parkinson’s disease.

In March 2013, the National Parkinson Foundation launched the Whatever It Takes to Beat Parkinson’s campaign, using the blue “P” ribbon to highlight the many ways people can fight the disease. The key motivational spirit behind the campaign is to make everyone living with Parkinson’s — people with PD, their care partners, loved ones and friends — aware of the many ways they can empower themselves and live their best life with Parkinson’s. The blue “P” ribbon is a symbol of the Parkinson’s community’s determination to do Whatever It Takes to Beat Parkinson’s!
